SAN FRANCISCO, CA, February 28, 2017 – Our firm congratulates Deb Wetherby and Christy Covalesky for being named among the remarkable women on this year’s Forbes ranking of America’s Top Women Advisors. This list features 200 female advisors from across the United States who – when considered collectively – manage approximately $210 billion dollars on behalf of wealthy individuals and families.

Forbes’ America’s Top Women Wealth Advisors ranking, developed by SHOOK Research, is based on an algorithm of qualitative and quantitative data. It considers thousands of wealth advisors with a minimum of seven years of experience, weighing factors like revenue trends, assets under management, compliance records, industry experience and best practices.

Deb Wetherby, who ranked 6th on the list, founded Wetherby Asset Management in 1990. Now as CEO, Wealth Manager and Shareholder, Deb serves our larger and more complex clients while simultaneously fostering a strong workplace culture committed to consensus building and mutual respect among all employees. Our firm’s core values of objectivity, integrity and thoughtfulness have attracted exceptionally talented team, including many women. At Wetherby Asset Management as of February 28, 2017, 33 of our 65-person team are female, just over 50%.

Christy Covalesky ranked 45th on the list, and was further featured by Forbes in the article, “You Don’t Have to Sacrifice Investment Performance for Values Says Wetherby’s Christy Covalesky”. Since joining Wetherby Asset Management in 2002, Christy advises clients on wealth planning and portfolio management to achieve their life-long goals. She has held many key management roles throughout her tenure, and through her involvement helps to drive the high client service standards and thoughtful investment strategy which are key to our firm’s success.
